Watermelon Juice

Watermelon is the best fruit to eat when you are on a diet. It is juicy, full of water and the fiber content is high. But the main problem with watermelon is that you can’t finish the whole thing at one go. Storing for long and munching on it is boring and eventually, you get fed up of it. The best way to utilize the remaining watermelon is to prepare juice out of it. Watermelon juice has a super cooling effect and helps specially in hot hot summers.

Ingredients

2 cups watermelon

White salt

Black salt

Deseed the watermelon as much as possible if you want to avoid losing the pulp. If you like a pulpier and thicker version of juice, you can retain the seeds. It saves a lot of time also cos taking out all those seeds is a major chore….phew.

If you have a juicer, it is great. Just run the chunky watermelon pieces through it. However, if you do not have a juicer, just put the pieces in a blender and run it till you get a smooth paste. Sieve the juice to remove the seeds. Add white salt and black salt. The real taste of watermelon is enhanced by black salt only so make sure you add that. Serve chilled for an instant cooling effect.

  2. one small suggestion…use some watermelon juice, freeze and use as ice cubes…as it melts, it does not dilute the juice…makes a more punchy drink.

  3. @Abigail. You are welcome. Try a little lemon juice too if you like it but add just a little bit for starters.
