Toast with a Twist

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day they say. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. That understood, how do you prepare a feast fit for a king? Well, the best way is to have a little dish from every food group. The easiest combination is what I call Toast with a Twist which combines carbs, veggies and milk products.

Preparation Time – 15 mins

Servings – 4


8 bread slices

1 onion

1 tomato

Cheese Spread

Salt and pepper to taste

Chop onion and tomato into small pieces. Apply cheese spread to bread slices. Mayonnaise can be used in place of cheese spread. If you do not have cheese spread or mayonnaise, you can use butter or even ghee. Sprinkle onion and tomato and salt and pepper. Oregano flakes can also be added as a topping. Bake on a grill or in a microwave for 5 mins or till the cheese browns slightly. Serve hot.
