Bhindi is a vegetable that is liked by most people. So unless you end up face to face with an exception, bhindi is usually a safe dish to prepare for your guests.
Preparation Time – 30 mins
Servings – 4 people
Ingredients
500 gms bhindi (ladies finger or okra)
2 onions
1 large tomato
2 green chillies
Oil 2 tblsp
1 tblsp zeera
1 pinch hing
Salt to taste
½ tblsp Red chilli powder
½ tblsp haldi
1 tblsp dhaniya powder
Wash the bhindi properly and then cut it into ½ cm pieces. Dice the onions and chop the green chillies. Heat oil in a kadhai and add zeera and hing to it. When the zeera starts to sputter, fry the onions and green chillies in it. When the onions turn pink, add the bhindi, haldi, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder and salt to it and stir properly. Cut the tomato into four pieces and mix with the bhindi. Put the gas on sim and cover the bhindi while periodically stirring it. Once the bhindi becomes soft, remove the cover and let it simmer on low flame till it completely dries up. Serve hot.
